I recently completed a commercial product photography shoot in Perth for IBT Mining, focusing on creating clean, high-quality images of their specialised mining equipment for marketing and technical use.
For this project, IBT Mining required their products to be photographed on a pure white background, ensuring the images would integrate seamlessly across product catalogues, websites, and technical documentation. To achieve the level of control needed for consistent lighting and background accuracy, I rented a professional studio in Perth and built a lighting setup designed specifically for industrial equipment photography.

Before & After Product Photography
As part of the project, I’m also showcasing before and after comparisons from the shoot. These examples demonstrate the transformation from the raw product capture to the final polished commercial image.
The post-production process included:
- Background cleaning and pure white isolation
- Colour accuracy and product tone correction
- Removal of dust or minor imperfections
- Consistent lighting balance across the product range
These steps ensure the final images are suitable for websites, technical datasheets, brochures, online catalogues, and industrial marketing materials.

Studio Product Photography for Mining Equipment
Mining and industrial products often present unique challenges when it comes to photography. Many components are highly technical, built from reflective metals, and contain fine mechanical details that need to be clearly visible.
Using controlled studio lighting, I captured precise product images that highlight the build quality, engineering detail, and functional design of the equipment. This included photographing Hole Survey QAQC tools and associated mining components, ensuring each image clearly communicates the product’s form and structure.

Commercial Product Photography in Perth
Studio-based product photography is especially valuable for mining, engineering, and industrial companies that need clear and consistent imagery of their equipment.
By combining professional studio lighting with careful post-production, the final photographs provide IBT Mining with a clean, versatile visual library that can be used across multiple platforms.
As a Perth-based commercial photographer, I regularly work with companies in the mining, industrial, engineering, and technical sectors, helping them create professional imagery that communicates expertise, reliability, and product quality.
If your company requires industrial or mining product photography in Perth, whether in a studio or on-site, feel free to get in touch to discuss your project.
